Leadership
Aimé Lachapelle
CEO
Aimé is an entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in initiating and leading large data & AI projects. After a PhD in math at Paris Dauphine and a Post-doctorate at Princeton, Aime has evolved in multiple environments from start-ups (MFG Labs, Emerton Data, Agrisight ...) to large corporations (AXA, Capgemini, EDF), to impulse innovation and ensure execution excellence.
Pascal Simon
Finance & legal
Before joining forces with the Emerton Data team, Pascal spent most of his career in high-standard, highly quantitative strategy consulting environments - Mars and Co, the Boston Consulting Group, then cofounding and leading Emerton Group.
Yannick Leo
Operations
Yannick Leo holds a PhD in Machine Learning from ENS Lyon and is the cofounder of Adeline Solutions. He was then part of the digital department of Sodexo where he played a key role in accelerating corporate venturing and the launch of the data & AI factory. Yannick then joined Emerton Data as Data Science Director.
Sebastien Plessis
Investment strategy
With a deep experience working with early stage or late-stage start-ups, venture capital funds and with Corporate Venture, Sebastien is contributing in establishing Corporate ventures funds.
Raphael Selignan
Head of Innovation & Entrepreneur in Residence
Raphael holds a dual degree in data science and management from l’Ecole Polytechnique and HEC Paris. After graduating, he joined Oliver Wyman in the Middle East, focusing on intrapreneurial projects related to data science and AI. Before joining Kaukana, Raphael went through the Entrepreneur First program and managed French operations for Flink, a grocery-delivery German unicorn.
Julio Louzada
Technology
Prior to join Kaukana Ventures, Julio was Head of Engineering at Zefir, where he built the entire 20-people engineering team and tech infrastructure of the real-estate company. Previously, Julio was an entrepeneur in residence with Kamet Ventures and co-founded world's first virtual fertility clinic, Apricity, building and managing the company's AI, data and engineering teams. Julio holds an engineering degree from Ecole Polytechnique and a Ph.D. in mathematics.
